MOOCs are a recent development in the area of distance education, and a progression of the kind of open education ideals suggested by open educational resources.<\/em> via Wikipedia<sup id=\"cite_ref-MOOC_0-0\"><a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/paragogy.net\/index.php?title=ENG_099_Conversational_American_English_MOOC&amp;printable=yes#cite_note-MOOC-0\">[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>designed as a crash course for students interested in conversational American English from <a title=\"http:\/\/dalab.cc\" href=\"http:\/\/dalab.cc\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mr. Danoff&#8217;s Teaching Laboratory<\/a> taught by Owner <a title=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/danoff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/danoff\" rel=\"nofollow\">Charles Jeffrey Danoff<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Given it is only 10 lectures long, this is not a comprehensive course, it is designed to give students a quick overview of conversational American English and the tools to study further on their own.
