In Class
- News Hour: “Syrian Refugee Crisis Grows by the Day” News for You article
- Photocopied the “Teacher’s Guide” activity for the students
- Broke students into 2 teams and had each develop a 3-step plan to solve the Syrian refugee crisis, then had them put their sentences and diagrams on the board. Winner was easy for me to decide, as one team forgot a period, thus only writing 2 sentences, and losing by default.

- First time doing this as a class I did not give them any instruction, wanted to see how they responded. After reviewing these I will begin teaching them how to outline.
